New owners Royal Utermöhlen

Wolvega, January 30, 2018 - Last week, the acquisition of the activities of Royal Utermöhlen was completed. The activities of Utermöhlen, known from the A-brands HeltiQ and ByeBites, will be continued under the guidance of Piet Bandell and Martin Pereboom from the familiar current location in Wolvega. The plans of the national and export oriented company will continue to focus on delivering high quality products in wound and sport care, maternity care and over-the-counter products for minor skin ailments.


Going forward, the company will continue to expand the current markets in the Netherlands, Europe, North America, Middle East, Australia and Asia. Among others, new applications are being developed in the area of freezing skin ailments ('cryo-technology'). If you want to stay informed, check out


In the Netherlands, Utermöhlen is well known for wound and sports care, maternity care and self-care products under the brand HeltiQ. The range of ByeBites products is for preventing and treating insect bites and stings. The Utermöhlen professional brand is still the leading brand if it comes to first aid sets and boxes. All these products are sold through the professional and retail channels.

The former owner of Royal Utermöhlen, Don T. van der Vat, who has been active in the company for the last 30 years, says farewell to Utermöhlen. In 1998 Mr Van der Vat acquired the company and became independent from the former owner OPG.
